Pain and Endurance... Cross Country expeditions prove our technology in adverse conditions and operating environments.
In May of 2006 Jake Raby and Bill Kanz set off on a 3,450 mile trip across America to test out the "Type 4 Torquer" engine created by Aircooled Technology and featured in the "Hot VWs" article bearing the same name that spanned from March- september 2006. (engine pictured above left)
On the way, 50 simple tests were completed, six different engine oils were analyzed, and the duo averaged 76 MPH @ 24 MPG average! To accomplish this, speeds in the higher 80s and up to 100 MPH, at times, were necessary. For extended periods of time...
The 2270cc MassIVe engine never missed a beat and needed ZERO maintenance along the way, even while being punished!

Here we practice what we preach and develop it to the maximum!
