A few years ago I had a ton of guys wanting my engine combinations but wanted the satisfaction of putting their engine together themselves. I heard their cry and arranged a few engine kit parameters and then started them a custom engine kit just like I would if we were going to assemble the engine.
Fast forward a decade and the program has received another complete face lift, working out some inadequacies and solving some mysteries. Our offerings for the 2010-2011 program have been redesigned based on the research and development over the past two years. Our kits have never been so complete, so easy to assemble or so efficient!
The 2010-11 program gives the novice buyer the ability to not only assemble their engine themselves, but also couples professional “prep service” (optional) to the kit for an engine that can literally be assembled without any typical headaches. The kits you see listed here are only available as you see them advertised and all are sold with brand new (not rebuilt) cylinder heads. Our 2010-11 program now offers specific kits with specific applications built in, there are no more variables, no mystery costs and no guessing. Do to this we make no exceptions for kit purchases, they are all sold as stated.(if your climate/elevation dictates we may make a camshaft alteration)
I have taken the easiest to assemble, biggest HP for the dollar engine kits and compiled them here for the average person to complete at home with only normal hand tools necessary. These kits are sold complete and the contents will not be modified by anyone other than our team. This is because for the kits to function as completed engines, all of the items we have integrated into them must be present and compatible. ANYONE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR KIT PROGRAM AGREES TO OUTFIT THEIR ENGINE AS RECOMMENDED!! Nothing else is proven, if it were better we’d use it!

If you want a Type IV conversion engine, but don’t want to pay our labor for assembling yours, or don’t have the time to wait, then let us guide you easily through our purchase of an engine kit. The long block kits come 100% complete with everything right down to the hardware to put them together. All you need is a used, core Type IV engine of any displacement and we can set you up easily as we depict in our comprehensive engine kit presentations.
Of course as with any engine kit, the purchaser takes on the role of the engine builder and must assume those duties 100%. With our optional "prep service" we do the all of the math and design work for you and all you have to do is clean up work and assembly. The nice part is, since we have arranged these kits 100% from our engine recipes that we have dyno tuned to perfection, we can recommend carburetor and timing settings for all the kits we have offered. This will save the assembler headaches later on because tuning is always of the utmost importance with any engine.
Two options on every engine kit is prep service and support service. The 2010-11 program couples dynamic balance along with prep service, so variables are further removed. Those that purchase no prep service will receive our most basic dynamic balance efforts, the Performance balance. Those purchasing “prep” will receive our “Intermediate balance”. We have balance equipment that is unparalleled and set up specifically for Type IV engines you can read more about it on our pages on dynamic balancing.
Our engine kit prep service allows you to receive your parts fully mocked up, ready for you to clean and assemble. Please note that these prices do not include any engine case work, this machine work )if necessary) will be at an additional charge.
With our support service the purchaser can buy support from our team when it is necessary, during the build or after the engine is up and running. As the engine builder, you must accept the challenges as well as the rewards of building your engine to appreciate the accomplishment, we make this possibility simpler to attain than ever before with the revitalized 2010-11 program!
